Information About Performing at MTWichita
Music Theatre Wichita works with Actors’ Equity Association under the University/Resident Theatres Association (URTA) contract. Union performers work alongside our resident non-union company members, who may choose to participate in the EMC (Equity Membership Candidate) program.
The base salary is $450 per week for the non-Equity performers, with additional remuneration for principal and supporting roles. MTWichita does not provide housing for non-AEA performers, but a housing stipend is available for out-of-town artists. Good housing is available at a reasonable cost and within biking or walking distance. Each show rehearses for approximately three weeks prior to its opening night.
We always hope that our productions will reflect the cultural and racial diversity that we celebrate in our country. Performers from all backgrounds are encouraged to audition.
