2022 Live Holiday Special

Join Music Theatre Wichita for its first live holiday-themed variety show from the mind of Artistic Director Brian J. Marcum. In 2020 MTWichita produced an Emmy-nominated televised special for PBS affiliate KPTS, and not that special is re-imagined for the stage! A star-studded cast, including MTWichita’s own Wayne Bryan, takes the audience on a musical journey showcasing a score of holiday favorites. Joining the cast is the uplifting ARISE Ensemble, the critically acclaimed Butler Community College Headliners show choir, and Mr. & Mrs. Claus. Inspired by traditional holiday films like “Emmet Otter” and “Elf,” the production includes a 24-piece onstage orchestra and a beautiful locally crafted set, tap dancing elves, and a glorious ballet surrounding the nativity scene.
