Designed for students with a passion for musical theatre, these ensembles offer the opportunity to take training to the next level while performing as part of this festive production. Both Ensembles will learn and rehearse musical numbers that will be featured alongside MTWichita’s mainstage cast in the Holiday Show. They will also be featured in the pre-show performance before each show. Members will strengthen their performance technique, stage presence, and professionalism through this exciting and immersive experience.
This is a unique opportunity for dedicated young artists to shine in a high-profile production while representing the next generation of MTWichita talent. Rehearsals will take place November 3rd-December 7th on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings and Sundays 3:00pm-5:00pm. Tech rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and performances will take place December 8th-December 13th. This opportunity is by audition only and the students’ commitment to the rehearsal and performance schedule is required. The fee to participate is $325.00.

Growing Together: Updates to Our Enrollment Show Experience
The Academy at Music Theatre Wichita continues to be impressed by the participation surrounding our Enrollment Shows. Each year, we welcome more students and families into the MTWichita family, and it has been exciting to see this program grow and thrive. As we’ve spent the past several years refining the experience to ensure it is as educational and rewarding as possible, we will be implementing an important update to the audition process moving forward.
Participation in the Enrollment Show is a meaningful commitment. It requires not only consistent attendance at rehearsals, but also preparation outside of rehearsal time, including memorization and retaining the information taught. The technical rehearsal schedule once we move to the theatre can also be demanding. While incredibly rewarding, this experience can feel overwhelming for those new to our programs and requires a strong level of commitment from both students and their families.
Beginning with the Spring 2027 Enrollment Show, students who wish to audition must have participated in at least one additional Academy offering during 2026 (excluding The Little Mermaid JR.).
Eligible programs include spring classes, summer camps, Rising Stars Youth Ensemble, Out of Class; Into Character camps, the MTWichita Holiday Show, or Teen Shows. These opportunities provide a valuable introduction to how The Academy operates while allowing students to build skills and confidence in a supportive, lower-pressure environment. This preparation helps ensure that students are set up for success and ready to fully benefit from the Enrollment Show experience.
As always, the Academy is committed to ensuring our programs and opportunities are accessible to all. We are proud to offer scholarships to families if cost is a barrier.
We are proud to continue offering high-quality educational and performance opportunities for our community. With expanded programming coming in Fall 2026, we hope you will join us throughout the year and take part in both an Academy experience and the Enrollment Show. We look forward to seeing you at auditions in January 2027!
