Music Theatre Wichita is Live Again in 2021!

As we begin 2021, we are filled with optimism. While the past year has devastated the performing arts, you made it possible for us to carry on and dream of a better year. With more knowledge about how COVID spreads, and more tools for keeping our patrons and employees safe, we believe 2021 can be a bridge to something that looks like the summer seasons we’ve come to expect during the past 50 years!

That said, we are thrilled to announce live and in-person theatrical events for 2021. And since outdoor performances are unquestionably safer, we are expanding our season into the more temperate months.

So, instead of five summer shows, the MTWichita 50th anniversary will offer you SEVEN evenings of musical entertainment!

Several of our performances will be held at the beautiful Capitol Federal Amphitheater in Andover—Music Theatre Wichita’s outdoor home for 2021, this dynamic new facility, with its dramatic lighting, large video screens and spacious lawn seating, is situated in a beautifully manicured, easily accessible public park with free parking. This outdoor venue not only provides a spectacular viewing environment, but also offers the ultimate in safety for performers, musicians and patrons. (If outdoor events will not work for you, there will still be several indoor options during the season.)

In this our 50th Anniversary anniversary season, you’ll see many of the “old” friends you’ve come to love seeing on stage and evidence of the talent you’ve helped Music Theatre Wichita cultivate. We’re proud, grateful to all of you and incredibly excited to put on live performances for you once again.

If you are a season ticket holder, information is headed to you via mail and email. If you are not a season ticket holder, sign up to be first in line when we start selling a limited number of all-access passes. Or watch for announcements later this year to purchase single tickets.

Here’s to seeing you, live and in-person, in 2021!
