JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT Auditions
The Academy at Music Theatre Wichita is excited to announce auditions for Joseph
and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with performances being October 11-13
including two school matinees on Friday October 11. Below you will find information
and details for this upcoming opportunity. If you have remaining questions after
reading this information and the attachments, please email
education@mtwichita.org. Auditions will take place in MR 101 inside Century II. You
will enter through the southeast side of the building (next to the Jester statue),
through the Stage Door.
Auditions are open to students ages 12-18.
The children’s choir will be made up of students ages 8-11 and will be a weekly
class through The Academy at MTWichita. The children’s choir will meet one or two
evenings a week until the week of the show where they will join the teens for tech
rehearsals and the performances. More information will be available in August with
details concerning the children’s choir.
If teens have a headshot and resume, please bring it. This is not a requirement to
audition.

Teen Information
Teens ages 12-high school seniors will be seen one at a time. Please visit the

When bringing your own song, please have it printed out and in a binder. Songs
need to be under 45 seconds in length!
You are welcome to print out and fill out the following forms before you arrive at
auditions, or we will have copies printed out as well. We will have staff members on
hand to help with measurements and to fill out the forms as well. Here is a helpful

GYPSY, FROZEN, and MATILDA Casting
Thank you to all the talented youth who auditioned and came to callbacks. There is so much talent in Wichita and we are lucky to have you share your talents with us! Below are the youth cast in our mainstage productions this summer.
For those of you not cast, we have plenty of other opportunities this summer through our education program. Summer camps and workshop registration will open on Monday, March 4 at 9:00am. We will have several camps where young performers can participate in performing onstage as part of the pre-show before MATILDA and FROZEN. There is also a FROZEN camp where campers will get to be a part of the show. We would love to have you join us for any of our other opportunities this summer. In August we will be holding auditions for JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.

The Rising Stars Youth Ensemble roster can be found here. Please note that participation in the Rising Stars Summer Camp is required. This camp takes place on May 28-June 1 from 6:00pm-8:30pm each day. You will learn all the medleys during this time, and different workshops/classes will be offered. If you cannot attend the camp, it is not guaranteed that you will be able to participate in the Rising Stars Youth Ensemble performances.
This camp is free for all participants due to the generous sponsorship of The Trust Company of Kansas.
