Information About Performing at MTWichita

Music Theatre Wichita works with Actors’ Equity Association under a Tier 4 University Resident Theatre Association (URTA) contract. Union performers work alongside our resident non-union collegiate company members from musical theatre programs all over the country. We welcome diversity in ethnicity, gender identity and expression.

The base salary is $450 per week for the non-Equity performers, with additional remuneration for principal, supporting, and understudy roles, as well as dance captaining. MTWichita does not provide housing for non-AEA performers, but a housing/travel stipend is available for out-of-town artists. Each show rehearses for approximately three weeks prior to its opening night.

We always hope that our productions will reflect the cultural and racial diversity that we celebrate in our country. Performers from all backgrounds are encouraged to audition.

If you have any questions about auditions, please send an email to auditions@mtwichita.org.
